I pack everything up in one of these toiletry bags, it makes keeping his toys organized so easy! Linking a larger option if you're traveling with multiple kiddos. To read my post on why I try to avoid screen time while traveling, click here. An ipad may seem easier and more compact than carrying around a whole bag of tricks, but I promise it's worth it!
Things I like to pack in our toy bag:
Dinosaur molds, baby dinosaurs, and playdough (more natural version linked here) (he will use the molds but also loves covering up baby dinosaurs making a playdough egg)
matchbox cars
mini coloring book and stacking crayons (saves space and they're less likely to get lost)
magnetic tiles (he builds houses for the baby dinosaurs!)
miniature sized little golden books or little chick-fil-A books
mini bubble wands (bubbles on the plane might be frowned upon, but we've used these during a layover!)
That's it! All of this plus eating, sleeping, and looking out the window keeps him pretty occupied. You could also bring a Yoto player for a bit more quiet without screens. Linking both single child and multiple headphone with splitter options.
It doesn't fit in the bag, but I'll bring this for our destination and it occupies him while I'm unpacking or getting ready for the next thing. Sticker books for the win!
